Meal planing started in our home out of pure necessity.
We use to get home at the end of the work day and look at each other and say what do you feel like. Problem was:
The fridge had minimal food
The meat was all frozen
We were both HUNGRY and tired - there was limited capacity to think and make decisions. Let alone zip to the grocery store to get what we needed.
So we'd end up....
Ordering take out or eating some processed meal from the freezer
Eat too much too quickly out of haste and hunger.
We all know that vegetables are healthy. It's NOT the lack of knowing that we struggle with it is the putting the knowing into action!
