Chicken Stroganoff
When the temperatures could down I am a big fan of one pot(ish) meals. Here is new family fav that is both gluten and dairy free with a grain free option.
Beef Bowls
Choose your own adventure meals are always a hit in our house. Give a little control to those who are eating. These beef (could be chicken or turkey) bowls are simple, easy to diversify and fun. They are a great make ahead option as well as catering to the most selective eaters of the bunch!
Gluten Free Banana Muffins
This recipe fluffy, moist and delicious. Best of all it is kid approved (even by the one who HATES most homemade baking and all banana muffins) shhhhh don’t spill the beans.
Warm Cup-a
I love my morning coffee; but as I have been on my health journey I often replace it with the warm morning elixr. I have tried many replacements for my morning cup-a-joe; but not much makes the cut. This elixr is warm, delicious and beautifully creamy. Plus it is a great way to give my mornings a great nutritional punch!
Fruit Ice Cream
This recipe is made simple ingredients. There is room to play around and have fun with the ingredients and flavours. When my son and I came up with this recipe it was a lot of a scoop of this maybe one more. The recipe is. little different each time we make it. It is a great recipe to pour into popsicle moulds too.
Salsa
Yummy! Homemade salsa is one of my absolute favourites to make. Every few years we make a mess in our kitchen a make a few batches of this delicious recipe. Over the years we have navigated away from the original recipe that we found online. Some flavours added by accidents. Others were conscious experimentation. Playing around and exploring different combinations makes for fun delicious salsa to be enjoyed with chips, on taco and a great addition to any salad.
Double Chocolate Zucchini Muffins
Vegetables are a great way to level up your baking from increasing moisture and nutritional content! I have kids who can be selective; if they see something that looks out of place they won’t eat it. I use to be able to hide zucchini into baking no problem, then I could get away with yellow over green. Now I puree it to make sure there is NO chance of it being noticed. Raw cacao is lovely tool to hide those hidden foods along with adding a powerful does of antioxidants!
Perfect Dairy-Free Creamer
This is a delicious, creamy and flavour filled creamer that is great for hot and cold beverages like coffee, match and spiced tea!
Dill Cashew Dip
Yummy! This nutrient dense dip is an amazing addition to any veggie tray or charcuterie board. Enjoy it on your favourite seedy cracker, a spread on a sandwich or a dollop in your salad.
Almond Banana Bread
This recipe is full of flavour, moist and best of all nutrient dense! It is made primarily with whole ingredients. It is grain and refined sugar free. As well as gluten and dairy free with the option to be egg free.
Chocolate Nut Spread
In my house chocolate is almost like magic. It is the ingredient that will always get eaten. I recently was playing around trying come up with a nutritious and delicious chocolate nut spread. This is kid approved in my house; and with three critics it can be a tough crowd to please.
Nut and Seed Milk
Did you know that it’s easy peasy to make your own nut and seed milk at home. The flavour and texture puts all the commercial ones to shame. Have you ever check out the ingredient list on the commercial nut and seed milks? They have the longest list of ingredients, not to mention I can’t pronounce most of them. Most of the ingredients are shelf stabilizers or thickeners.
Love Your Body Quinoa Salad
This nutrient powerhouse quinoa salad is amazing to support your body! It is a great source of healthy fats, protein and rich in antioxidants and micronutrients. Amazing as a make ahead lunch option!
